That’s how reddit felt in general, unless you were in some niche or heavy moderated sub to stay on topic. Meaningful comments were mostly buried by jokes.

Specially with posts dynamically reloading.
Ljdawson is a fucking legend
The back button closes the app instead of going back to the feed for me.
It becomes a app on your phone based on the web page.
That’s super cool! Too bad back in android doesn’t work when it’s a pwa, but it works as expected on a browser and it’s very fluid!
Not really, since I’m on 3rd party app and don’t see ads. I’m liking lemmy, but the dynamic feed bug is really killing the experience for me. I know it doesn’t happen on apps, but I prefer using a browser on my phone for now, until apps mature a bit more at least. This doesn’t happen on kbin, but I miss being able to collapse comments like on lemmy.
Reddit is getting weirder and weirder. And I’m loving it
Fingers crossed they fix it on their next release. Thanks for the info!
It’s probably that plus the issues with instances being overloaded and whatnot. Here hoping that it’s a bug or a matter of optimization that can be solved in future updates.
It’s a bug, the admin of https://lemm.ee/ has fixed it on their instance. It will probably be fixed for everyone on the next release.

Honestly I’m not sure, I’m also quite new to the fediverse. My guess is that being a parent comment, B wouldn’t see it, but if C was the parent and A the child comment, B would see only C.
If I’m not mistaken, you can see the posts and can even comment, but only people on lemmy.world will see your comment. People from beehaw and other instances won’t see it. That’s because lemmy.world haven’t defederated from beehaw.

You can see which instances are blocked here: https://beehaw.org/instances. It’s in the bottom of the page of every instance home page or just add ‘/instance’ after the instance’s address.
On the community page, click on the up right 3 dots, then community info.
On lemmy, you can tick off ‘show read posts’ in settings, so viewed posts are hidden.
It was the opposite for me in Australia, maybe because I was in a smaller town. At least in restaurants, if you got there past 9, chances are the kitchen is closing or about to close. Took me a while to get used to it.
