For Mac users have a look at Subtler
How does it run Office and especially MS Teams? I guess you can watch a YouTube video but not really game on that VM?
App Cleaner (app uninstaller), Wipr (ad blocker), IINA (video player), Subtler (converts mkv to QuickTime readable files), Keka (unarchiver), and LinearMouse (no mouse acceleration and separate scroll directions).
it would be for a PC and normal work/home use
Option D current icon or https://lemmy.world/post/1203104
I had one as well, tucked underneath my shoe soles. I think the app was some kind of Nike Run Club App (similar to Strava).
Do you know how the performance of waydroid is on postmarketos?
Thank you for postmarketos. I had a look and it actually looks exactly like what I had in mind. They even have a community on lemmy at https://lemmv.ml/c/postmarketos I now have to check out the shiftphones and see if Linux supports apps like the banking apps, 2FA, etc. or if they can be emulated through some kind of Android laver. Otherwise it would have to be an Android OS without Google or a separate phone for those apps.
Lemon but it isn’t out yet, see https://lemm.ee/post/116554
Replies don’t work
Have a look at https://endeavouros.com
so far, I just know of this app Artemis that is being developed right now, see https://tech.lgbt/@hariette/110562926792208789 (doesn’t have Mastodon though). Maybe the devs of Ice Cubes want to extend their app for lemmy
That would be something, Ice Cubes is great. Maybe the devs from Ice Cubes would like to create an app for Lemmy as well.
Very nice, can this be pushed mainstream so it is the default for everybody?
Yes, at least one person from sh.itjust.works needs to go to https://sh.itjust.works/c/greece@lemmy.ml and click on subscribe. Then everything starts federating from this moment onwards. If you want to see past posts/comments you need to manually search for them on https://sh.itjust.works. If you want the comment https://lemmy.ml/comment/760707 to be displayed, you need to paste this link (after subscribing) to the search field of sh.itjust.works. However, as I said, it does not federate replies of comments because the link is just for the comment. I guess that is a bug/limitation of lemmy, see https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/2241#issuecomment-1112505474
At least one person has to subscribe to that instance from the instance that you want synced, then it starts federating. Unfortunately, it does not update comments/posts that have been made before this first subscription happened. What you can do is manually trigger a sync - to do this, you need to copy the link of the posts/comments and post them in the search bar of the instance you want to have synced. However, this does not work for replies of comments (because the link is for the thread). I hope this could help you.
why not completely black?
