Never tried meth but I was homeless for a time. I can absolutely see why you’d flock to it if you live on the street.

It’s not safe to sleep, even more so at night. Cops make a habit of stealing/destroying your stuff, and because of that other homeless people steal your shit. It makes you feel invincible, helps you ignore the cold, and 10 bucks keeps you high for 2 days.

It’s all well and good to say don’t do drugs, but not having a place can really change your priorities in ways you’d never expect.

Teach young people life skills, lift a whole generation out of poverty, plant and manage forests, fix up our infrastructure… So much could be done. A modern, environment-focused CCC would be revolutionary, and I would bet whoever runs with some form of that idea first sweeps the following elections.

Also fostering, if it would be a good fit, too.

As I understand it Alexis stepped away from the board(?) of reddit in 2020. Supposedly in protest after George Floyd was murdered. I believe he’s just your standard “Hey look, I’m woke too!” venture capitalist nowadays. Likely still heavily invested in reddit, seeing as I don’t think he’s spoken out on the controversy lately.

He caught a lot of heat for firing Victoria back in 2015 iirc.

Most of what I saw about him was from his own website so take it all with a huge grain of salt.
