I appreciate it, but I have tried bidets a couple of times and not liked them. I’ll probably try one again at some point.

I didn’t even know that was a thing. That should be better advertised, or even better, have awareness of it spread through PCPs.
Well, this should make prosecuting them later easier.
It’s also a huge waste of federal resources paying to help rebuild in these places which are no longer habitable.
Not necessarily. It’s a phobia that anyone can have.
I can completely understand that. There’s a name for that kind of phobia, which I can’t remember right now, but I have the same exact thing. I have a Xanax prescription specifically for when I feel “claustrophobic” (it’s not actually claustrophobia; it’s a fear of being trapped and restrained, but people understand the idea of claustrophobia and I have forgotten the word for phobia of being restrained/unable to move).
It’s significant enough that I have thought to myself how might I handle it if I am ever handcuffed, particularly with the cuffs behind my back. I would try to explain that I have a terrible phobia of this and I will have a panic attack, but I know that no cop is going to care about that. So I don’t know. Not much else you can do but flee.
The American mega churches usually don’t really look too much like churches and more like gigantic stadiums or even tents because they’re meant to accommodate thousands of people. But we do have “proper” churches which look like castles. Mostly on the east coast, from what I’ve seen. (I’m sorry, but I can never view those massive, super evangelical megachurches as anything more than a cult.)
Oh, I get it. I misunderstood you at first. I thought you were looking for earbuds.
Yep. I first encountered it circa 2004 when I was in a Japanese language school in Japan, almost every single one of my fellow students was from China, and they got very antsy about anything critical being mentioned. One of them even took me aside once to explain that if she were to say something bad about the government, it could be dangerous. She did not elaborate and I never brought it up again.
I missed that you were replying to a comment I made to OP, but you are not OP. So I have no idea.
Edit: Oh wait, nevermind. You did share your opinion and it is in line with OP’s.
There’s no nuance to be had here most of the time and it’s depressing.
There is nuance to be had because not everybody is the same.
I understand that there are tons of problems in the US, but hating on an entire culture/people is bigotry no matter who it is aimed towards.
You sound ridiculous.
My digestive problems are so bad that, these days, almost every single time I pee, I also have to poop at least a little bit. It’s just super.
I see someone wasn’t taught stop, drop, and roll as a kid.
Well yeah, they’ve been doing this for decades.
Antibiotic-resistant strains of chlamydia have been spreading, actually.
Same is true of the elderly. There’s been a huge spike in STIs in retirement homes.
Interesting, thank you.
Well, before I had terrible digestive problems, I would typically use four. Three for the initial wipe, and one to make sure everything is dry. Sometimes two to make sure everything is dry.
Now that I have terrible digestive problems, I think it’s more like 10. I should buy stock in Cottonelle.
Cottonelle is really good, too. In my opinion, better and more absorbent, but personal preference will play a part.
Appreciated, but learning to live with it is the saner course.
