You could make a federal law. It’s a hell of a lot easier.

No constitution, only what is moral…
Theocracy, then?
lol. Nah, someone told me not to make my username Tim.
If you really want to get serious about Chinese interference, this is a discouraging sign. An example of doing the bare minimum for the lowest of stakes.
Maybe start with Tik Tok and go from there?
I get that China interference is a big deal, but actually dealing with it means getting serious and banning Tik Tok to start.
This is the smallest of potatoes. An excuse to make noise without doing anything.
This would be a bigger deal if anyone had actually watched the first 2 seasons.
New info. Suspect is male, and has been moved to another county where they ‘could face charges’.
Sometimes people are charged with a crime and then found innocent. Should we keep defendants names secret until they are found guilty and all appeals are exhausted?
I don’t think Batman is very concerned with illegal police work.
Was he ever arrested? I’m talking about the police holding somebody against their will without saying who it is.
Sounds like an oxymoron.
“We’ve arrested somebody, but haven’t charged them with anything, and you’re not allowed to know who it is.”
It doesn’t take a lot of imagination to see how that could be abused.
Why not? Shouldn’t we get to know the names of people arrested by the police? Should they be allowed to withhold that information from the public? Seems kind of police-state-y.
I have no idea. It’s got to be some non-zero %.
But it is a notable part of the Hamas strategy to not make a distinction between their soldiers and Palestinian civilians, so it’s very difficult to determine.

No mention of Hamas soldiers. Are they not involved in this conflict?
I’ll be that guy. The new show was not good, and almost nobody watched it. Apple has only recently shown a willingness to cancel underperforming shows. So this wouldn’t have been a surprise anyway.
I loved him on The Daily Show, but he traded his relevance for Apple’s $$$, and couldn’t even make anything decent out of it.
“But flippancy is the best of all. In the first place it is very economical. Only a clever human can make a real Joke about virtue, or indeed about anything else; any of them can be trained to talk as if virtue were funny. Among flippant people the joke is always assumed to have been made. No one actually makes it; but every serious subject is discussed in a manner which implies that they have already found a ridiculous side to it. If prolonged, the habit of Flippancy builds up around a man the finest armour-plating against the Enemy that I know, and it is quite free from the dangers inherent in the other sources of laughter.
It is a thousand miles away from joy: it deadens, instead of sharpening, the intellect; and it excites no affection between those who practise it.”
Maybe I am underestimating the amount of people buying seasons of TV shows on PlayStation, but this seems like a lot of PR pain for very little potential upside.
