It will be less efficient, yes. But it is still a net positive. If it is cheaper to build it there, you can just add more power to compensate for that loss in efficiency.
It will not be a 100% loss. For reference: the power loss of the transmission in the US is on average 5%. Let’s say it is double that, it is still very little in the grand scheme.
feddit.de is in this error state since quite a while now (over a month). The web interface does not work anymore, but connecting through an app still works (I use voyager for example). Most people have migrated away from feddit.de to feddit.org. I will do the same at some point, I just didn’t have the time yet.
Are you using the web player or the iOS app? There is the official ABS app or Plappa as a third party app.
Apple only allows JIT for development. Why? Only Apple knows.
Mainly for cheaper applications which are not as weight (and size) sensitive. One example is entry level EVs or home energy storage.
This emulator, without JIT, struggles to run windows XP. Let alone anything newer than that.
So no Half Life Alyx anytime soon. Maybe the original Half Life.
To be fair: they didn’t start going this direction voluntarily, which I really hate.
They did not recognize that these things (like USB-C, alternate AppStores (and in Extension allowing emulation as people would more likely to jump on the other AppStores without it), …) would be helpful for them…
Or the subsidies on fossil…
WhatsApp is the same as texting in this regard.
To be honest: they didn’t. They were perfectly clear in their announcement that they are not the first to do it.
Did you report it? Maybe no one noticed yet.
Just fyi: OSMand is available on iOS.
It got a lot better. Now (or I should say, in a few months) you can place icons wherever you want on the homescreen.
I think it does, yes. At least it does support CarPlay on iOS, so I guess the functionality on Android is also there.
Try aliexpress. Most of the time they have an adapter so you can use a standard network card in a MacBook
Yes, pizza and burgers and stuff, sure. But usually not for donuts.
Where do you take that number from? 1MWh/mo seems quite high. Also considering that the stored energy will only be used when solar or wind are low, the battery will never be used to supply 100% of the electricity.
So it will support many more homes.
A donut delivery service? That’s the most American thing I have read today.
For opensource maps, it will be open street map. If it is outdated for you area, open a few issues, add a few things yourself, and you will notice that others will join to help.
