Oh OK. I’ve never watched it so that’s why I didn’t understand.
You could argue that a proportion of these women are brainwashed or whatever else but the simple fact of the matter is that not enough of them felt engaged with democratic policies.
Research requires a critical mind. Think of a person you know that has average intelligence, 50% of people are more stupid than that.
And I’m not saying that stupidity is solely an issue for the republican electorate, I’m just saying “do your own research” is an unrealistic expectation.
People need to be engaged with.
More like the oligarchy now have 99% of the power rather than 98%.
The issue is that we believe we have a free democracy when the only power we have is to put an X in a box every few years. The system isn’t broken, it’s working as it’s designed to.
What’s the implication? Am I naïve? I just thought it was traditionally a man’s hobby with little interest from women, just as most men mostly aren’t very interested in crochet.
I like fishing, I just think it’s quite unpopular with women.
As long as it’s not fishing haha
I’d suggest that he’s at least average intelligence.
I think people are struggling to accept that I can dislike someone, or disagree with their choices without thinking they’re stupid.
I agree that it could just be a poor choice of words and it could just be an insult, if you think he’s evil, a cunt or whatever else say that instead though.
I’m getting tired of the comments that imply not stupid = smart.
I understand that intelligence is on a scale and that is not a black and white issue. I also understand that wealth ≠ intelligence, however in this case I do believe that he has at least average intelligence.
This is the last “Elon Musk is not a genius” type comment that I’m replying too, I’ve said all I have to say on the matter.
I think a lot of people hate Musk (understandably) so they call him stupid to make themselves feel better with disregard to the meaning of the word.
If you’re referring to Twitter, I’ve already stated that I think he intentionally wanted to derail it.
I agree. Most of the replies here imply that I must think he’s a genius, as if people can only either be stupid or a genius.
I do not think he’s a genius, I do think that he knows what he’s doing.
I’ve already said elsewhere in the thread that I’m not claiming that he’s some sort of 200 level IQ genius. I’m saying he’s not stupid.
Once again this is an opinion and you’re fully entitled to that. But I think what you really mean is “I think he’s stupid for what he’s trying to be”.
I’m not claiming he’s a genius. Just saying he’s not stupid.
The image you shared doesn’t actually prove anything, it’s a difference of opinion unless you can source what he actually said. And at the end of the day, you don’t need to be a bean expert to run a successful baked bean company, you just need to know how to hire bean experts.
Cow farming was just one example of work that can only really be done in rural locations. Presumably you’re not against the farming of vegetables?
It’s not about the size of the number, it’s about presenting information in a way that the average reader can understand. The best way to do that is to present it in the way that they’re accustomed to and I don’t think I’ve ever seen scientific notation used to refer to a sum of money.
It’s great that you and I understand scientific notation, but it’s worthlesss when you’re trying to get the average person to understand what you’re writing if they don’t know it themselves.
To make myself clear, I’m not saying that scientific notation isn’t useful, I’m just saying that most people don’t understand it.
For extra credit, 74,500,000,000,000,000 aka seventy four quintillion, five hundred quadrillion.
Maybe it’s different in your area. Where I live the local fishing spot is nearly all men.
