This is one of the cases where OP shows they don’t really know what they’re talking about. Drinking, singing and eating are like 75% of the holidays. Though, if we’re supposed to take “Don’t drink to much” as “Don’t make me drive you to the hospital”, then maybe it works.
Heck, Pesach has a 4 drink minimum! Every Friday we start Shabbos by drinking one glass of wine. There’s Kiddush clubs in NYC where (mostly hassidim) gather to do Kiddush… then do it again and maybe again. It’s wise stuff to celebrate the work week being over with a glass of wine.
Also, Purim rules. You get dressed up in costumes, eat cookies and get wicked drunk. Fun time.

Neither is in Christianity as temperance was a goal and gluttony a sin.
Yah and they got rid of all the fun holidays.
Shame. Ah well, more wine and cheesecake for me.
Gut Shabes!!
It’s not until tomorrow night but thanks it’s been a heck of a week so I’m really looking forward to it!
